Marion Neumann

is a german filmmaker, living and working in Geneva. 
Her first feature film „this moment is not the same“ is the result of her experience within the artist community LABORATOIRE VILLAGE NOMADE. In collaboration with Ayako Mogi, Werner Penzel, and Res Balzli, the project was realized during 5 years. The film celebrated it’s world premiere at Visions du réel in 2010.

As a cinematographer among her most illustrious collaborators are Jiska Rickels, Pauline Julier, Peter Mettler, Michel Favre and Nicolas Humbert, with whom she collaborated for the film "WILD PLANTS".

Together with Filippo Filliger and Pauline Julier, she founded the production company Les films du chalet to support singular ways of story telling between fiction and documentary. Since 2016 she works on her actual feature documentary „the mushroom speaks“, produced by Intermezzo films in Geneva.
