Solanaceae Editions is a publishing house dedicated to psychoactive substances and the practices associated with expanded states of consciousness. It explores the history and contemporary uses of these experiences, whether therapeutic, medical, creative, recreational, or spiritual—both locally and around the world.
We champion a vision of a renaissance in psychedelic culture, grounded in an informed understanding of substance use and firmly rooted in a harm reduction approach. We encourage dialogue, particularly in Switzerland and across the French-speaking world. Solanaceae Editions follows in the footsteps of Nachtschatten Verlag, a pioneering publisher in this field, extending its spirit and expertise.
Our French-language publishing program is broad in scope. It includes books on illegal substances as well as specialized publications on legal stimulants, shamanism, drug policy, psycholytic therapy, and philosophical and spiritual perspectives.
